IF YOU ARE PLANNING A VACATION
IN ENGLAND, SCOTLAND OR WALES,
WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO KNOW THAT
SOMETHING SPECIAL IS AVAILABLE
FOR YOUR TRIP TO BRITAIN.
HOMEMADE HOLIDAYS was established to enable
visitors to Britain to see the country in a very special way.
No large tour buses, no impersonal boxlike hotels and no
herding people around in large groups. We offer
exclusive, personalised holidays based on what you tell us
that you want to do. Staying in small country hotels,
village inns, farmhouses and even the occasional castle or
country manor house. Travelling at a pace to suit you.
Allowing time to linger, browse and soak up the
atmosphere. Varying the route and itinerary as we go
along if necessary, as we discover unforeseen delights
that cannot be passed by.
VISITING BRITAIN ON A HOMEMADE HOLIDAY
The first thing you should know about a HOMEMADE
HOLIDAY is that it is YOUR holiday. We do not squeeze
anyone into a prepackaged tour with lots of other people
and take them where we think they should go. Right from
the start we work with you to plan and build a visit around
your interests and needs. We work on a one to one personal
basis so that you are always involved with the planning.
Working with someone "on site" gives you access to
information and advice which would otherwise be
unavailable. This means that by matching your ideas with
our suggestions we end up with a visit to Britain which
will ensure that you are something more than just
We want you to see the real Britain, from the inside.
Mixing with the people and becoming part of the country.
Because we do not travel in large crowds we are able to
get to the places which the ordinary tourists never see,
and experience a completely different, and ultimately
more rewarding kind of holiday.
As you will see there are no hard and fast rules. What you
want is what you get, so if you cannot find what you are
looking for, tell us! We believe that if you want to see
this country properly, and go home satisfied, with good
lasting memories you will not find a better way. All you
need to do is tell us what you want and the trip starts
WHERE TO START.
In the menu column you will find a trip planner. This is
the first step in planning your visit. It will give us a
preliminary view of the kind of holiday that you would
like, and enable us to formulate plans for discussion and
approval. Please complete this form, and then either
E.Mail it or fax it to us. We appreciate the fact that filling
forms can be a tedious business, but the more information
that we have, the better we can plan your visit. We will of
course speak to you personally to discuss your holiday, so
if you need any assistance at any stage please call us.
We always think that one of the greatest pleasures of any
trip is the organising and anticipation. We hope you will
find that being involved in the planning of your
adventure with us adds to the pleasure and excitement, so
that the enjoyment starts from the moment we put the
first piece into the jigsaw and lasts right through the visit
and beyond, when you return home with lots of
wonderful memories (and hundreds of photographs).
Visiting another country can be a daunting prospect,
which is why we are on hand to offer a friendly personal
service. We are not an enormous and faceless tour
company. When you call us you know who will be talking
to you, and who will be looking after you, and possibly
more important; we will know you. We hope that all our
visitors start as clients and end as friends.
We look forward to the pleasure of seeing you soon.
Paul and Pauline Hulme.
